Arthritis responds to exercise -- movement helps. But what kind of movement depends a lot of your body and your agility, etc. When you start, start slowly, and warm up before you hit the speed and resistance you want to reach. Then see how your body responds to, say, ten minutes. But it's also good to vary your exercise routine. But arthritis is an inflammatory condition, and reducing inflammation can involve lots of things -- eating foods that aren't pro-inflammatory, taking supplements that are anti-inflammatory, icing -- lots of things that will help the exercise feel good and you feel good instead of making you feel worse. But definitely get moving. You might even, by the way, start out by walking or swimming a bit before you tackle harder exercise just to get back in the swing of it.
