I had the procedure done just a week ago. It is alittle too early to tell. They advise that the high energy machine Epos Ultra by Dornier is the best way to have the procedure done.
I would make sure you at least have custom orthotics made and give your feet adequate time to adjust to them before the surgery. You will need to have these after the procedure anyway for prevention.
My foot and ankle doctor had a way to save me $ on the procedure and the orthotics, since my insurance did not cover it. I could help you with his name and number if I had a way to contact you. Actually the doctor does not do the procedure...the technican that travels with the machine does it.
My heel pain was gone the following morning but I still am dealing with other issues in my feet and legs that were problems prior to the surgery.
I'm considering having ESWT done on my lumbar spine. Any comments as to whether this is safe or not.
