Bumps on whites of eye

I often wear my contacts much longer than I should. I woke up today and it feels scratchy under my eyelids...upon lifting the upper lid up I noticed that the white of my eye looks ripply or bumpy. What could this be?

Go over your cleaning techniques of your lenses also.  Are you washing your hands before handeling your lens equipmint?  Are you rinsing and allowing your lens case to dry daily?  It is important to change the cleaning solution that you soak your lenses in often. Read the directions on the bottle and to avoid eye damage take those lenses out as oftes as your doctor recommends! Bumps can also come from an allergic reaction but either way see your eye doctor fast!

Be extremely careful, improper care or wearing of contacts can cause severe eye problems, even blindness. See an opthamologist quickly. There are viruses that can cause "bumps" but you need to have it correctly diagnosed. Care for your lenses and do not overwear, you do not want permanent eye damage!
