Consistency and light excersize help please

I have been managing IBS..irratable bowel syndrome..(which is in fact a disease or gut problem in which there is no cure).

Drs wish for me to do light excersizes. My best time is early am... around 8:00 am. We are not financially able to afford the YMCA...and i need to do this at home. I do have a rowing machine, and i can do small slow exersizes. I need to start out very slow and i need to be consistent. Any suggestions on how i can accomplish a small goal each day with a little exersize eah am and stick to it no matter how i feel?

Hi

IBS is a condition that has a relation to psychosocial stress. Exercise is known to decrease the stress levels, so any stress relieving activity has a positive effect on the disease process.
You should try starting with mild exercise and should follow the usual guidelines such as avoiding exercising before and after meals, avoiding caffeine or hot drinks and exercise when your intestines are quieter.

My IBS is best relieved with walking or joging- if I can't get out I will walk or jog around my living room which is pretty small so I look pretty silly lol.
