Hello!
L4 and L5 sure also suggests sciatic nerve involvement in your lower limb. It is seen that most of the times the pain of disc prolapse will resolve with no specific intervention.
Continue exercises which do not give you pain and walking is a good idea. Lifestyle changes will help like proper position while sleeping, sitting etc. Wear proper footwear. Physical therapy, stretching exercises and non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs are also helpful.
Take an appointment for proper suggestions near a neurolgist and try conservative treatment and if required take the help of a physiotherapist.
Take care!
Thank you, Doctor. Mine is sciatica.
My recent MRI showed stenosis of the L4-L5 due to epidural fibrosis and facet hypertrophy.
All I know is that I have horrendous pain when I am driving long distances in the car (e.g. 50 miles) in the backs of both knees, running up into the buttocks. The same is true if I sit down longer than 20 minutes. The only position I seem to get some relief is lying down. I have a treadmill and I walk slowly on it for 30 minutes a day.

Hello!
Radiculopathy refers to disease of the spinal nerve roots.
You have to diagnose properly which type off radiculopathy you have?
cervical, cauda equina, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, quadriplegia or paraplegia.
An appropriate exercise in the form of physiotherapy greatly reduces the pain in the early stages of degeneration.
Chiropractic manipulative treatment and also acupuncture are alternatives.
Take care!
