I am a 40 year-old male in good health, not taking any meds, who gets regular exercise & eats a good diet. Non-smoker, light drinker. My blood pressure is within the normal range for my age.
Recently I experienced a case of over-exertion, where I felt light-headed and dizzy for 90 minutes or so afterwards. Sort of the kind of over-exertion caused by holding your breath while simultaneously trying to exhale; it causes pain in the forehead and pressure in the ears.
In my case, I have since suffered from a pain in the head with diziness when I stand up, or if I bend over at the waist to pick up something on the floor. (It has been 8 days since the initial over-exertion) The pain is similar to the sharp pain experienced from drinking a too-cold beverage too fast, but it usually occurs in the side of my head above the ear, or less often in the back of the head, as well as in the forehead. It lasts for 5-10 seconds, and has a throbbing sensation with timing virtually the same as my heartbeat. If I cough or sneeze, there is a very brief incidence of the same sharp pain, most often in the forehead.
I have continued to exercise & I note no specific problems when my heart rate is elevated, even after a vigorous 90-minute bike ride in which my sustained heart rate exceeds 100 beats per minute for 45 minutes and exceeds 120 beats per minute for 20 minutes.
I have no history of illness or high blood pressure or head injury. Just curious what may be the cause of my current symptoms.
