I got sick after not working out for 2 days in a row

Hey
I usually do intense workouts(Circuit training: high rep weight-lifting with very short breaks, and moderate weights for about an hour, and during evening I do sprints) 5 times a week (I workout two days in a row, a then take a third day off).
Okay, So I didn't workout two days in a row, and on the second day I got a fever (around 100). I took ibuprofen, and it didn't do anything (I still felt like ****). But, i decided to go sprinting that evening (because usually I feel good after working out). After the sprinting I felt a lot better, then I measured my fever an hour later, and it was gone.

Now my question is that, is this normal? My body responded by getting sick when I didn't workout one day, and I got better as soon I worked out? Is this bad?

Thanks for replies.

Hi,

How are you?
There is no medical evidence to support that exercise can reduce body temperature, it is a more psychological effect than a physical one. It was probably due to the effect of ibuprofen.
Take care!

It's probably all a co-incidence. Next time consider resting from exercising if you have a fever in case you overheat your body too much. You won't loose fitness by stopping for a week or so.
