Hi,

I can understand your anxiety about your height but please understand that height is mostly a genetic trait. You can eat a healthy diet with a regular exercise like swimming will help you gain a few inches. Please avoid the miracle drugs available for gaining height.

Hi Ghouri,
How are you feeling now? You told us that you are having Thalessemia, but you didn’t mention what type of Thalessemia you have. Whether is alpha or beta Thalessemias?
You are right in saying that your height is less due to your Thalessemias, but do you know why it is so?
Are you on regular transfusions? Do you have distension of abdomen and is your spleen enlarged?
What does the treating doctor have to say about this?
It is difficult to suggest any medicine for growing your height.
First of all you have reached puberty already hence the bone growth will be less.
Second due to the disease there would be bone changes due to expansion of marrow.
Hope this helps you.
Bye.
