In desperate need of a solution to my weight issue

Hi! I am an asian female around the height of 5'5. Unlike all the asian around me, I am very "well built" as people like to put it. I have large shoulders from swimming, not waist/ hip line what so ever, and I have thunder thighs. I weight around 135 pounds, but I would love to be able to hit my ideal weight: 110 pounds. Please help. This actually makes me very low self esteem becasue of this and the only way, I feel, that could help this problem is to hit my ideal weight. I am willing to do just about anything... other than lipo :) which is because i am 17 and have no money. Thank you for your help. It is greatly appreciated!!!

Hello!

Deposit of fat at particularly different places is more genetic. When you indulge in sports such as cycling, running, basketball, football, swimming or any other outdoor sport everyday for 30 minutes to 1 hour you will tone down appropriately.

There is no reason to worry. You should not lose any more weight as your BMI is 22. At 5'5" and 135 pounds you have very good BMI.

Take care!

Honey, you're only 17. You're still developing. I know it's hard to be accepting of your body when you THINK you look so different to everyone around you, but believe me, they all have wishes to be different too! 135lbs is not heavy at all, especially for 5'5". You sound like you have a muscular build, so you'll always be a little heavier than girls without that, but you know what? You'll also be so much stronger. Work that to your advantage. Find an activity/sport where strength is admired, and learn to love how your muscles power you with ease, knowing you could never do so well if you were all skinny with no toned physique. Basing your self-esteem on trying to look like girls you physically are incapable of looking like due to genetics will never bring you happiness. It's like trying to change the color of your eyes through wishing for it-- it just isn't possible! You'll spend the best years of your life worrying and hating yourself and not appreciate what you have until it's gone. Instead, find role models that have a beautiful figure IN YOUR BODY TYPE (i.e. large-framed, muscular, etc) and take inspiration from them. Keep to healthy foods and exercise, and your self-esteem will improve, knowing you are doing the best you can for your body.

Well, 110 pounds in the ideal weight of someone about 5 ft. not 5'5.  You are actually already the ideal weight of 5'5 women.  When I was 17, I was 110 pounds,  but I am 5'2 1/2 and it was actually a little on thin side for me, but I do remember thinking I wanted to be thinner.  Don't look at the scale, but really look in the mirror. I bet you look great, and it sounds like you probably have a good figure.  If you don't like your thighs, then walking, running,  and swimming can help firm them up.
