Most people's weight is lowest when they first get up in the morning (after visiting the bathroom but before eating or drinking anything). If you make it a habit to weigh first thing in the morning, you will be weighing under similar conditions each time, and you will be able to detect any changes a bit more quickly than you will by weighing at different times of day. Don't know why you would weigh more after a workout.
