You will be able to motivate yourself as soon as you have a positive goal you really want to reach.
To formulate your goal, you should aim for a realistic, achievable goal, and use positive language, exact dates and avoid words like I have to, must, should, don't, etc.
Example: bad: I have to work out more
Good: I want to/ will get up at 6am every Monday to run for 20 minutes for the next 4 weeks.
Once you achieved your goal, there is nothing to keep you from adjusting it.
