What exercises do I need to do?

I'm not sure where to start.  I've been pretty sedentary until 4 months ago.  I'm not overweight, just inactive and out of shape.  When I was a teen I would go with my father to a gym and his trainer gave me things to do.  I got pretty toned and built for a 5'1" skinny girl.  lol...  I would like to have some of that built and toned look again.  I also miss that feeling the next day after a great workout.  You know, the feeling of accomplishment through muscle tiredness and pain.  My core, buns, and legs really need the attention.  Actually, I could use a bit of toning all over.  I just don't know where to start.  Any beginner exercises I can do that will help my core or balance would help me get started.  Thanks in advance!

You can start small, and work up to a programme which suits you. I started with standing in a doorway, leaning against it with my hands about chest level on the door frame, then doing some push up type thing. Maybe 2 or 3 every so often. Whilst I wait for the microwave for my drink to heat up, 2 minutes, I lean on the counter and do some push ups there too.

It only takes little things like that to get stronger then you can go onto bigger and more aerobic type exercise.

Hi, you may begin with light weight training exercises, yoga or slight warmup exercises like jogging or doing treadmill. Avoid doing any exercise more than 15 minutes to start with and do not spend more than 30 minutes a day. Also take a balanced diet constituting carbohydrates and proteins in the ratio 4:1. Once you start feeling confident and energetic, maybe in one month, who may increase the intensity of fewer exercises. I hope this helps you.
