Toning

I am in my teens and probably just the right weight (5"9-5"10, 65kg)
BUT I really would love to tone up flabbier parts of my body, I am not too interested in weight loss because I am not obese and it's not worth it in my teens years.
I am against diets so I've been exercising and I want to know if jogging for around 20mins 3-4 times a week, not eating takeout and a few pilates toning up exercises a week- Is this enough?
thanks, xx

Hi there!

Well, this would depend on your body type and BMR. For an otherwise normal lifestyle with a physically active average day, moderate exercises like jogging for about 20-30 minutes, 3-4 times a week should be good. Keeping junk food to a minimum and taking appropriate amount of calories as advised for the height and physical work with a balanced amount of carbohydrates, proteins, fats and plenty of fruits and vegetables are also essential for a healthy lifestyle. For toning muscle groups on the flabbier body parts, you would need to indulge in specific exercises as recommended. You could join a gym or yoga classes. Activities like swimming also help to tone the body uniformly. For best results it is advised to rotate between various physical activities.
Hope this is useful.

Take care!
