Virtual School Student & Weight Loss??

Hello,
I am a full time virtual school student. This basically means I take all my classes online. Because of this, I have to sit down for long periods of time so I can get a lot of work done. See, at first I thought there would be enough time to get out and exercise- and trust me, I would if I could- but FLVS (Florida Virtual School) gives you so much work to complete I'm basically sitting in my room the whole day doing work! It annoys me so much because I really want to be active and do more but I'm only able to do that two times a week on the weekends. Before I started FLVS (I started it this school year in 9th grade) I was 14 and I weighed about 140ish. I feel like I'm getting chubbier and right now I'm in the high 150's I believe. To balance it out I eat very healthy meals and restrict artificial ingredients and excess calories so that way I don't pile it on. My mother already makes me eat healthy (she's obsessed with organic and all natural foods) so I try to follow her footsteps when eating. Just like my mother, it's very easy for me to gain weight. I don't know if this is a factor but I have medically diagnosed anxiety and a persistent tic disorder and I was prescribed clonidine. I don't think that has a role in it, but who knows. So yeah, basically it would be so awesome if anyone had tips or recommendations on how I can balance school, work, exercise, and life so that way I don't put on any more weight. Thank you so much!

Many meds do cause weight gain in some people -- you can tell if your med is one of them by looking on the manufacturer's website or looking at a site such as WebMD.  But your excuse doesn't hold water -- people who go to university probably have more work than any on-line offering, as the courses are usually more rigorous at top universities, but people still find time to go out and play.  I always did, even when in graduate school.  You can't study all the time, your mind can only handle so much before it turns to mush, so when that happens, it's time to go out and play and get your exercise.  It will not only help you with your weight, it will also keep your mind fresh.

Hmm, I guess you're right. I'm going to start today and put aside some time to run around the block. I have a journal that I write in daily, so I guess if I have time for that I can use some of that time to fit in some activity. Thanks for the answer! Have a nice day!
