Hey, I have 2 bad legs although not paralyzed none the less i have been wheelchair bound for my fair share of time, this may help. If possible you could either A.) use your wheelchair for exercise, after using a wheelchair to get around in the hospital your shoulders tend to get pretty big, also depending on your location their may be an accessible area to work out with machines that you sit in and use, lat pull downs, sit curls etc. B.) you could try and do abdominal work outs, along with dieting that may be your best bet, along with resistance bands you should be able to meet your goals of dropping a few lbs. hope his helped some
Hello. I work with people who use wheel chairs to get around and have picked up exercising tips from them. What works well is resistance bands. You could wrap one under your chair to work out your upper body or use things around the house for the bands. There is also a cardio machine (not sure what its called) thats like a bike but you basically pedal with your hands. It gets your heart pumping for sure!
