Creatine i was taking, dehydration. Wasn't drinking enough water while taking it.
Hi Gotell, thanks for your reply and the details. I do not think on terms of dehydration behind your severe headache rather neural. Still, I would like to suggest you to consult your family doctor or a neurologist to get examined. As the cause is not very obvious, better to get investigated early and to be sure nothing wrong. How is your blood pressure level? Avoid doing your routine workout for time being and seek doctor's advice. Take care and update on the visit.
Oh yea, and also no blurry vision, dizziness, vomiting or any like that. But this was something new to my routine, but like i said i didn't even have time to strain myself it was instant. I rode a bike for a mile and a half beforehand though. Dehydration??
My wording may have been confusing, but I have been working out for about six months now, and the pain that I experienced about 3 months ago, was the pain in the back of my head and neck. At the time I figured strained muscle in my neck, or I did not breath right, so I didn't work out for a while and i was fine. Now, about 2 days ago, I get a massive headache AS SOON as i start working out, no pain in my neck, just a massive headache. I stress AS SOON because there was no time to build up a pain, it was instant, as soon as I lifted something.
Hi Gotell, how are you doing? Hope you are feeling lot better by now and are you continuing the workout presently? Did you have blurring of vision, vomiting, and giddiness? You need to get used to the gym workout routinely and it may take a couple of weeks also. Do not try to exert too much on a particular day, rather go at a slow pace and do it regularly. You might have had a sudden muscle strain causing the intense pain. Initial muscle aches and soreness is common which might pass off slowly. Do warm up stretches and gentle massage before you go on actual. Over the counter pain killers and muscle relaxants should control the pain. Local application of pain get and hot fomentation will also help. Check your blood pressure and consult your family doctor. Take care and share your thoughts.
