stomach pains after running

well i am 19 year old female and athletic. i do cheerleading but after i run i get severe stomach pains that last from 5 to 15 minutes. The pain is so bad that i cant sit still. It occurs in my lower stomach. It didnt happen that often before, it only occured from time to time, but now its getting to the point where it happens everyday immediately after i run. At first i thought it was because i didnt eat, or i didnt eat the right things, but i tried everything. I tried not eating, eating, eating more carbohydrates, because that's what my doctor recommended, but nothing works. I dont know what to do and i dont know whats wrong with my stomach. HELP!

When you do physical activity it causes your intestines to move. You could have spastic colon. When I had it if felt like someone was physically twisting my colon. My move a lot to where when I get home from the gym I ususally have diarreha. If this sounds anything like what you have, I would recommend looking into a product called slippery elm. It has really helped me. The pain is gone but the diarreha still comes depends on how hard I work out that day.

I hope this helps

Are you drinking enough water? Definately drink before during and after your workout. I would recommend you go see a Naturopath. Sometimes it can be as simple as the proper combination of foods, vitamins and timing. But definately have it checked out. It could be stomach acid that builds up while working out. Let us know what you you have decided to do and what is working. Good Luck.
