17 Months after iris sphincter traumatic mydriasis

Hey. Just posting an update on the traumatic mydriasis caused by the punch. 17 months later it is a world of difference. Yes, it was very difficult dealing with it. But after about a year, it syopped bothering me for the most part. Suddenly, it wasnt much of a bother anymore. No more headaches or discomfort



Hope this gives some hope :))

Thanks for taking the time to post your experience.  That is a long time, as most improvement I have seen in my patients occurs over 6 months, 9 at the most.  There are several companies that are doing work on preventing or postponing presbyopia or the need for reading glasses in our 40's. They are using  dilute pilocarpine and work by making the pupil smaller but not causing pain and blurred distance vision as stronger pilocarpine drops do.  They may be available in the next couple-three years. When available them may help you. Thanks again.
