Search the archives on Restor problems. I'd advise to wait for the first eye to heal more before proceeding. I did not wait. I regret it. It took months for the dry burning issue to resolve but the restor problems did not get resolved.
The ReStor 3.0 is so new that you won't find many cases of mixing the two models. I agree with Lerbea that it's a good idea to wait until your first eye is healed and you're satisfied with your vision before having a second surgery. From what I've read, I don't see why there would be a problem mixing the two models. However, I wouldn't count on getting great intermediate vision from the ReStor 3.0, which is still basically a bifocal (distance/near vision) lens.
I have restor 3 implanted 5 months ago. Far vision 20/40, intermediate vision blurry, reading vision bad.
You mentioned that restor is a bifocal. Is there any real multifocal?
