About Retinis Pigmentosa

Sir,

I am an Indian origin, my name is Pankhil Shah
I am suffering from Retinis Pigmentosa since last four years
My vision is getting narrow day by day like a tunnle
I want to ask you that is there any medicine which can cure this disease
please advice

NOTE: A recent study suggested that lutein 20 mgm per day may slow progression of RP.

If they figure out how to reconnect a few million nerves to your retina via nano technology or some kind of stemcell therapy, perhaps an eye transplant will be possible.  Before that happends, we're crap out of luck.  

Artificial retinas are being developed and some have had then inserted in the eye (retinal prosthetic) with some success.   Obviously there need to be some cells still working and the signaling transport intact (optic nerve).

Medication doesn't cure anything, ever.  Your body does.   There is promising research being done with stem cell treatments for RP...

No RP cannot be cured. Use the search feature and archives to read the information about RP. Also many websites that will discuss light protection and use of vitamins to slow down the RP
