Any light bothers eyes

After cataract surgery in left eye and corneal transplant in right eye I now cannot tolerate light from outside, tv watching, reading.  My opthalmologists have no idea what is wrong but it bothers me so much that I have to close my eyes for an hour or so and then try again.  I do drive wearing sunglasses and tried sunglasses in the house but it doesn't work.  Can you give me any info on this problem?

I did see the specialist who did my corneal transplant and says there is nothing there, plus my glaucoma specialist says there is nothing there???  But, I see feel the sensation of something there.  I guess I will have to try to find another opthalmologist.  Thank you for your comments.

The redness is not a good sign.  The sensation is called a foreign body sensation and it may be due to an surface irregularity and dryness.

You should see your corneal specialist who did the transplant.

After a corneal transplant in right eye, there is a sensation of something constantly in my eye.  My eye is red, and itchy at times but the irritation is always there and it hurts.  I was told it is not the stiches from the operation.  Can you suggest what I can do about this problem?

Photophobia is usually a sign of intraocular inflammation.  Sometimes it is very mild but usually responds to topical steroids or NSAIDs.
