Blurred vision in one eye

Last Thursday vision in my right eye became blurry, like everything is out of focus.  Two weeks before I had an episode in that eye where the white part of my eye on the inside corner got swollen and my vision was blurred for probably less than an hour and then went back to normal, but the inside corner of my eye was very red and looked terrible for about 4 or 5 days and then cleared up.  It didn't hurt at all, wasn't watery or anything, it was just really red.  I never went to the eye doctor about that, but last week when my vision became blurry I did go and the doctor thought he noticed some swelling of the macula and ordered an OCT which I haven't had yet.  He wasn't sure that the redness and swelling I experienced 2 weeks before had anything to do with the vision problem I am now having.

I guess my question is, if my macula is swollen what would cause this?  If the blurriness isn't from macular swelling what else could cause it?  It's as if everything is out of focus with my right eye and I'm also seeing floaters.  It's an uncomfortable feeling to have different vision in each eye and I'm hoping it will go away.  I'm also curious if the 2 episodes are related at all.   I really don't have any pain to speak of, maybe an achy feeling now and then but nothing really painful.  I am a little nervous about it and would like someone's thoughts while I wait to get the test done.  I never even really heard of a macula before this so I have no clue what's going on.

Your macular swelling may be related to the your other problem which may be uveitis.  Follow up with your doctor.
