Bump on eye socket

My daughter is 8 months old and she appears to have a lump/bump on her right eye socket by the corner of her eye.  It doesn't match the other side.  At first i wondered if she'd bumped it on something but it has been there for weeks now.  There is no bruising.  Any ideas what this is and should i be worried?
Thanks

Forget what the GP said and get in to see an Eye MD

I've been to see a GP and he said he thinks its her bone and not to worry. He wasn't that helpful to be honest and i felt like i was wasting his time with this.  If it is her bone will it go in time or will it be there forever?

It should be checked by your pediatrician or a pediatric Eye MD. Might be something that shouldn't be there, cyst or a common bump called a dermoid.
