Is Lasik causing problems or is it part of the healing process?

I have had lasik 3 weeks ago, and had -7 and -6 on the other eye, with astigmatism on both eyes. I am 25 years of age and have worn glasses since i was 10. With nearsightedness.
I can see better than 20/20, but my problem is that I loose focus when i stare at things, or when working in front of the Pc. I then blink a few times or look away and things are back in focus. I had this "focusing problem" when I used to wear glasses aswel, but it would happen once a week, after lasik it happens everyday several times..

I do have dry eyes, but not severely, I was told by the optometrist that I have a good tear flow.

Questions:
1) My worry is that this "focus problem" will stay for the rest of my life. Or will my eye muscles adjust in the coming months perhaps?

2) I was told my the optometrist to use my lubricating eye drops once every 2 hours, but as far as i know the eye heals better if lubricated, no?

Ask what your glasses RX is now. If it is 0.00 or a minus number it should not affect your focus. If you were overcorrected and are farsighted (Plus or +  number in the glasses RX) that would make it harder. Most likely its the dry eyes and computer use, reading, TV any video screen makes that worse. Use the search feature and read about the treatment of dry eyes also go to my home page (under Top General Health Answerers) and look at my blog postings. read the newly updated treatment of dry eyes. LASIK is know to cause dry eyes in and of itself.
