Contact lenses After Cataract Surgery Presbyopia

Hello everyone I have a question I had cataract surgery about 2 years ago.  My doctor told me that I can wear contact lenses.  Even though I got IoL implanted however I still need to wear glasses because I was highly myopic.  Now if I wear glasses I cannot read up close I have to take them off.  I came across this new type of contact lenses from acuvue with presbyopia.  I know if I wear regular contact lenses I will need reading glasses to read up close.  My question is that if I wear contact lenses for presbyopia,  will this eliminate the need of wearing reading glasses?  Thx alot side note I only have one good eye.

Thx for replying doctor actually I wear daily or weekly disposable contact lenses.  I have been using contact lenses for more than 13 years  and I never had any infection.  If I I take extra precautions when it comes hygiene.  And I throw away the lense even if I feel a little bit of irritation.  I have progressive glasses but I wanted to try contact lenses with Presbyopia.  When I insert regular contact lense I have to use reading glasses to read up code.  So I heard about this new lense acuvue Presbyopia.  If I use this type of lense do I need to wear my reading glasses for up close readings?  Thx

If you can wear them successfully they are made to not have to wear reading glasses. Just know that the longer you wear contacts, the older you get the greater the chance of a serious problem. Like investing in the stock market past performance does not reflect future outcomes.  Most people that have serious contact lens complications like a bacterial or fungal corneal ulcer have not had problems before the serious event.

Wearing contact lens increases risks of infection, irritation, allergy and small risk loss of eye. Your problem should be "cured" by wearing progressive multifocal glasses (no line bifocals).  I would advise against contacts given your one eyed status. If you want to furnish your glasses prescription and vision with them on I can be a bit more specific.
