Dizziness

I'm 38 and according to my MD I'm in great shape as far as heart, BP etc. Few months ago I went eye doc concerning bad headaches when I use computer. They said I needed glasses. I'm a police officer so Ita hard to wear eyeglasses. So I got contacts. They felt fine in my eyes but I get lightheaded and dizzy non stop especially if I'm concentrating on something (grocery shopping for example) so after 2 weeks I stop wearing them. Now even without them in wot wearing eyeglasses I stay dizzy when I look down (for example say I look at my collar) or if I turn my neck to look behind me. It's bad almost like I feel Im going to fall out. If I'm home I'm fine it seems like . Any suggestions? Think I just need better prescription? Any help?
