Elevation changes affecting eyesight

I had cataract surgery on both eyes. Both eyes had cataracts removed. Both eyes had Lasik surgery and Restore Lens Implant.
Left eye was the worst and done first. Going on 2 ½ months with no problem.
Right eye was my better eye but since surgery I have been having problems.
One week after surgery on my right eye I left home for a 1-month camping rally.
1st week I traveled from Home Elevation 4700 Feet to Lake Siskiyou Elevation 3199 feet. (No problem)
2nd week I traveled to Rogue River State Park Oregon Elevation 1000 feet. (No problem)
3rd week I traveled to Coos Bay Oregon at sea level. (No problem)
4th week I traveled to Canyonville, Oregon 784 feet. I started having floaters, when reading and portions of words appeared missing.
Then Home to Milford, CA Elevation 4700 Feet.
I reported to my regular family optometrist for my one-month visit on my right eye cataract follow up.
Dr. M dilated my eyes and saw what he described as crystals on the outer lens of my right eye and also on inner surface of the right eye.
He showed the crystals to my wife who describes the crystals as round multi-faceted iridescent crystals overlapping each other at the edges.
Dr. M said that crystals on the inside of the lens are not uncommon, but crystals on the outer surface of the lens are very rare.
Dr. M referred me to Dr. R, the doctor that performed the cataract surgery.
Two weeks later I saw Dr. R who contradicted Dr. M's findings and said I had Cellular Fibroid growths on the surface of the eye NOT crystals and NOT related to the cataract surgery.
I handed Dr. R an article I found on the net about Cysteamine Eye Drops to Treat Corneal Crystals in Cystinosis.
Dr. R read the document and said this is not what I have.
Dr. R did a retinal mapping and declared I had no problems there.
SIDE NOTE: I did have a problem with the same eye in 2000. The finding was Retinal vein occlusion. My understanding is that the problem resolved itself.
At the end of my visit with Dr. R said I should wait two months and then two weeks before our visit I should start putting Omnipred (Prednisone acetate ophthalmic suspension 1%) drops 4 times a day in my right eye.
I believe he is planning some kind of laser surgery to correct the problem.

NOW.
Between the time I met with Dr. M and the time I met with Dr. R my eyesight in my right eye seemed to be getting better.
On Thursday July 9th I left home Elevation 4700 feet to go camping and visit some friends at Indian Valley Campground. Elevation 2200 feet.
While there I noticed floaters and my vision is similar to what I experienced after leaving sea level and going to 4700 feet.
I returned home elevation 4700 feet on July 11th and the floaters became worse.
I also noticed a white swirl flash of light in right eye. Maybe light hitting the outside edge of the eye. That lasted about a day. Floaters are becoming less noticeable lately.

NOTE: When traveling to all these places I am driving in a car and going over mountain passes between 6000 to 8000 feet before staying at one of the campgrounds described above.

My question would be. Is the altitude change affecting my right eye? Is it possible that I have some kind of leak and losing fluid in the eye? Then after I return home, the fluid replenishes itself? (Layman terms)

It just seems I change altitude and my eyesight gets worse and I have floaters.
I return home and within a few days my eyesight improves and floaters go away.

Should I get a second opinion and if so, WHO?

Since you had a retinal vein occlusion, the changes may be due to low oxygen tension which may be causing mild rubeosis and fibrous changes on you IOL.  See a retinal specialist.  He may get a fluourescein angiogram to look at the circulation.
