Experiencing mild redness in eyes

A month back I got a red dot in my left eye. I visited an eye expert (I wear contacts regulary) Post my retina and cornea examination, the eye expert said its coz of an allergy and prescribed me FMLT. After applying FMLT for 3 days, My both eyes turned blood shot and I started experiencing pain, burning sensation on washing eyes and discharge of white sticky substance. I was scared and revisited the doctor. The doctor prescribed me Pataday. On using Pataday for a day, I was afraid if it could resolve the issue. I took a second opinion from a diff. Doctor. The doctor prescribed me Lotopred, Ikul, Systane ultra eye drops for every four hours a week and said not to wear lenses for 10 days. I followed the instructions and my eyes got back to normal. However, now I face some redness in my left eye upon waking up in the morning (mild red veins can be seen) After wearing contacts,my left eye looks slightly pink. Could anybody please help me with a solution to fix this.

Your problems likely relate to your contact lens. Know that the medications you have been prescribed FML and lotopred are steroids. Using steroids in contact lens wearers increases the risk of a bacterial or fungal cornea ulcer.   Many people lose the ability to wear contact lens. In our refractive surgery clinic 20% of people that have such surgery like LASIK are because they lost the ability to wear contact lens.  So you need to work with an ophthalmologist or optometrist to try and get contact lens your eye will tolerate. you may have to go to daily wear disposable contacts. You need to have your upper eyelids flipped and checked for giant papillary conjunctivitis from the contact lens.
