Eye blemish
I have recently noticed two brown dots on my iris. Any idea why these have appeared?
I've recently been for my first eye test and the optician found a "blemish" on the back of one of my eyes. He said he thinks it is something I was born with but is going to refer me to the eye doctor to be sure. This has got me concerned. What does a blemish on the eye mean? I can see fine out of the eye that has it, although it is my weaker of the pair. Could anyone advise me on this?

I suspect you just notice two iris nevi (freckles). They are generally normal. Schedule an Eye MD exam . Find one at www.aao.org
