If you're talking about something on the eye the most common things would be a "pingueculum" or a "pterygium" both represent sun damage to the eye and are found at the 3 and 9 o'clock position where there is maximum sun exposure and not at 6 and 12 o'clock where upper and lower lid cover. However you do need to see an ophthalmologist for a definitive diagnosis. Everyone else protect your eyes from extreme sun exposure with hats and uV blocking sunglasses. Excess sun is linked with cataracts, macular degeneration, pinguecula, pterygia, and skin cancers of the eyelids.
Hello~I am glad you will be seeing an ophthalmologist for this. I really don't know what it could be. I am going to refer you to our Ophthalmologist group, hopefully there will be someone there who will be more knowledgeable and will be able to help. Good luck with the appointment.
