Hi, I,m new on here and basically , I have Bell's palsy about a month or more now.
I struggled to tape my eye shut and last week , I had to go eye clinic , to get my eye checked out, they gave me antibiotics, and call back in a few days , I called back and they said I had an ulcer , they also stitched my eye partially shut as I can't close fully with Bell's palsy, so I was told to keep taking antibiotic Chloromycetin 4 times a day, lacri lube 6 times and at night . They told me to call back in 48 hours , when I got it checked the eye nurse said it's not getting any better and she wanted me to see the head Docter , so I did and she said it seemed to be improving slightly , so she told me to take antibiotics Exocin 1 every hour , artificial tears every hour and continue with lacri lube and call back tomorrow which was yesterday , so she said it's healing and to stay taking antibiotics 1 every hour and tears etc as before , my next appointment is in 12 days , I thought it was on the weds , does anyone think antibiotics for that length of time is normal ? For such a long time and she didn't seem to worried and said it should heal in 2 weeks , but I have to protect eye for Bell's palsy , also I have some blurred vision etc and does anyone think I have good odds of my being ok ?
