Thank you. I had cataract before vitrectomy. Any feedback on eye muscle issue I have described in #2 above?
A vitrectomy can not remove all the vitreous in the eye. Therefore you may have some floaters but it should be much less. Your eye may be developing a cataract after the vitrectomy and have less vision or accommodation.
Dr. O.
It was not done in California and I am 37.
Any other pointers from the community would be great.
How old were you when you had the vitrectomy? Was your FOV done in California? Closing the eye could be caused by the muscles, I had a FOV in December and my eyelid is a bit droopy and sometimes it is hard to open. I have had cataract surgery in the eye due to the vitrectomy...I may have to go back and get a piggyback lens as I am not seeing clearly out of that eye.
Hope all gets well.
