Ok first off let me apologize for this long descriptor but as a professional myself, it best helps a proper suggestion/idea when all the details are there.
Description of events leading to the question...
I'm a Male 35, Currently recovering from a blunt force eye trauma caused by a paint ball gun. No not my fault and wasn't even involved, I was hit by a stray involving people I didn't even know, me being a passer by. At any rate I was rushed via ambulance to an eye specialist. I was diagnosed with Hyphema, the pooling was about 1/4 up my iris. I was completely blind out of that eye for the first 4-6 hours, no light, shapes, shadows, nothing. I regained vision back slowly after about 12 hours but remained very very blurry in an eye I used to be able to read signs a block or 2 away with. I originally had near perfect vision... I was prescribed Prednisolone Acetate 1% for inflammation & Atropine Sulfate 1% for dilation. I'm about 7-8 months into the recovery & have recently due to the kind sharings of a friend contracted viral conjunctivitis in both eyes. The Hyphema has cleared, My pupil has remained enlarged to current even after stopping the Atropine & unresponsive to light to current along with very blurred vision from that eye since.I've been unable to see a doctor since the ER visit as time will not allow, I'm supporting a family and unless it's life or death they come first. Now let me add this little note. I'm unsure if what I'm about to ask has been on going & just un-noticed until now as the conjunctivitis has drawn my attention back to my eye, but since I've gotten the conjunctivitis ( viral - 2 weeks in, finally getting over it ) I have noticed when I'm out in the sun or expose my trauma damaged eye to bright light, over a period of 3-5 seconds it will slowly contract ( as per a normal response to bright light only way slower ) so yay reactive to light again, but it pulls my pupil to the bottom of my Iris as slowly as it contracts, almost meeting white but not quite. When I remove myself from the bright it again slowly re-enlarges back to its over sized state in relation to my other eye and re centers to the Iris.
I'm a naturalist when ever possible so I've treated the conjunctivitis with honey eye drops and probiotics via eating yogurt and putting small amounts in my eyes from time to time. I have recovered from it faster than my friend taking doctor prescribed medications. I have noticed a mild ache in the eye since contracting the conjunctivitis that has not been present since the pain that passed after about 4 days past the blunt force trauma. I'm hoping its due to the conjunctivitis but the pain isn't present in the other eye which is also infected.
My Question
Has the conjunctivitis degraded my recovery and worsened the damage from the blunt force trauma, or is this my eye recovering as it's now reactive to light and there's muscular damage. As per if the top half of my muscles that cause contraction of the pupil didn't work but the bottom half did, as it contracted, without and even pull via its circumference it would tend to pull toward the half that is working. And is the mild ache a symptom of the pupil issue or due to the already tender and damaged state of the eye and the conjunctivitis is causing the ache.
I'm not expecting miracle answers, I've done hours of online research, I have a few good ideas but I'm looking for any info/opinions that I can collaborate with what I've got in mind to help me confirm or deny them & to help decide if I'm in need of emergency care or if I'm over reacting to remaining symptoms/recovery of the trauma.
Thank you for any info
