High myopia and power lifting training

Hello, sir, I'm 23 and have high myopia, about - 8.5. Now I am studying for a master's degree and have applied for the admission qualification of a doctor. At the same time, I am a power lifter (I know this sounds dangerous). A few days ago, I went through mydriasis fundus examination, and the doctor told me that everything was normal. The doctor advised me to avoid contact sports, amusement park equipment and explosive force when exercising. In my country (China), doctors usually do not specify which sports can or cannot be carried out. When I train, I choose the weight that can complete 3 to 5 standard movements. I will not do 1RM training, but I will inevitably use valsalva breathing mode. So I want to ask if it is safe for me to do strength lifting training?

It is not possible to give you information specific to your case, since that would involve a detailed eye exam and knowledge of  family history.  The safest would be NOT to do lifting. You can do a literature search, this is one that came up first.   https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3430929/     Conclusion
These results reinforce the hypothesis that heavy occupational lifting may be a relevant risk factor for retinal detachment.

Thank you for your reply, Doctor. What kind of eye assessment do I need to do?At present, I have had mydriasis fundus examination, OCT, fundus photography, and my family has no experience of retinal detachment.
You need to discuss your lifting program with the ophthalmologist that did the tests, ideally a retina specialist. There is a special exam of 'peripheral retina' that needs to be assessed.

My eyeball is very long, 28mm. I don't know why my eyeball length doesn't match my myopia.
