How long until the redness goes away during treatment of a corneal ulcer?

Yesterday (7/19/2016) I was diagnosed with not one, not two but THREE corneal ulcers in my left eye from contact misuse. My ophthalmologist prescribed me Ciprofloxacin (0.3%) eye drops for treatment. For two days, he has my putting one drop in my eye every two waking hours and then keeping my eye shut for four minutes so the drops don't drain out. After the two days (today, 7/20/2016 being day 2), he told me to put one drop in my eye four times a day during waking hours and again, keep my eye shut for four minutes to prevent the drops from draining out for an additional 5 days, for a total of using the medication for 7 days.

After a couple uses of the medication, my eye did feel a lot better but is still very red. I have a wedding this weekend (7/23/2016) and I was wondering if my eye will still be red for the wedding? And about how long until the swelling will go down?

Also, I was told my medication was an antibiotic. I know that oral antibiotics will not work if you drink alcohol while using them, but are topical the same way? If I have a couple drinks at the wedding, will my antibiotics fail?

Will wearing makeup affect the antibiotics/healing process at all? I'm a makeup artist so makeup is a huge part of who I am and I'd feel naked at the wedding without it. If it will affect it however, I will go without.

There are all kinds of corneal uclers due to contact lens misuse. Some are ultra serious and can lead to loss of sight (e.g. acanthomoeba) but most are non-infectious and clear up with leaving the contacts out and topical antibiotics. A ball park figure would be 2-3 weeks. I don't see that wearing make up is a problem. Don't put your contacts in.  Alcohol does not affect eye drops, have a good time. in the future wear your contact properly and replace them punctually
