I had this ability for a long time. I had thought that everyone could do it until one day, I don't remember why, I told my brother in law to blur his eyes. He said, "What? ... What do you mean 'blur my eyes'?" That is when I started asking other people and found nobody else who could do this. I did notice that I had great vision and never needed glasses even into my early 40s. I am now nearly 49 and my vision is bad in one eye and okay in the other. What is sad is that in the last few years I have slowly lost the ability to blur my vision, and can barely blur it at all now. It's really not a real useful ability, but it was kind of cool. I wonder if only people with excellent vision can do this. Did I lose the ability because my vision somewhat deteriorated? I wonder.
I can make my vision blurry too and sometimes if i focus on one thing i can make an object get closer, it looks like a pulsating blurry tunnel around something in my room and it slowly expands like the room is coming closer to me.
And sometimes i cant stop making things blurry and its hard to focus on things i want to do. Just happens mostly when im really tired.
But does doing this blurred vision mess up our eyes?
Ive never had a lazy eye and my vision is terrible.
I can do it too. No one believes me though. I can control it on and off. I tend to do it when I am admiring something pretty. Like if I am buying something like clothes I will blurry my eyes when i see something that's attractive or when i am finished drawing.
Whats up guys im glad everyone is still posting on our unique blurred vision effect i say its unique since not everyone can do it but to us it seems normal and everyone else calls us crazy. Ive only seen two sites that talk about this, but this site is the only one where it is still relevant. I to also have great vision ive gotten 20/20 or 20/15 from different doctors almost every physical. At one time i to thought i was the only one that could do it i always try to find a way to be more than the average person but im happy im not the only one. I honestly think there is something to this, some way to enhance our eye sight using this muscle in our eyes. Not like super powers because thats rediculous, but something that sets us apart from everyone else
I have very vivid and realistic dreams sometimes its hard to believe i am dreaming. I prefer to live in dark rooms and sometimes i also feel like im being watched ever since i was a kid( i am 22 now). I also day dream a lot and get into my thoughts as if i were dreaming. Sometimes i pace around my room just thinking of all sorts of things for an hour it seems. Im not crazy or a genius its just what i do. Im not sure if any of it is related to this blurred vision effect but i just noticed similar experiences with the comments above. I may forget about this site in the next hour but if you have anything interesting that is related to this feel free to email me ***@****
I thought everyone could do this. I've been doing it my whole life as well. I'm a 36 year old female. I just had my first eye exam in 15 years. I've never worn glasses but, lately while driving at night, have become frustrated that the halos I used to intentionally make around headlights are now always there. Obviously I can make them much bigger and blurrier but I cannot sharpen them back the way I used to. During my eye exam, my initial tests were pretty good. A little farsighted. She also said I'm esophoric (slightly cross eyed, who knew) which explains the double vision I get, which I also thought everyone had. The peculiar thing was when she dilated my eyes the tests showed I was much more farsighted than initially thought. I told a farsighted friend the results of my cyclopedia refraction (reading test with dilated pupils) and she was shocked I could see so well without glasses. My prescription is worse than hers and she can't see a thing without her contacts. I'm wondering if anyone else who can 'blur' has had their eyes dilated (at the eye doctor's) and seen this effect? Also to hit on others questions/observations - I can rapidly shake the eyeballs. I can cross them. I can move one eye at a time, side to side while the other stays still. I can blur each eye separately with the other closed. What else? I cannot get double vision on command. I cannot focus on one thing while blurring the rest as others have talked about. I cannot predict what will happen in movies either.
Hey guys, I too can do this since I was about 12 years old and thought anything about it until I asked my friends about it and they said I was crazy so I haven't told anyone since. Recently though I have been able to make my vision go double while focusing on and object and also if I stare at a wall I can blacken everything out on the wall so it's just like a dot left, also a weird thing I can do while blackening the wall out I can change the colour of the wall?. All my life I have had 20/20 vision but when I told the optiction they said that I need glasses to reduce it however even with the glasses on I can still control it and sometimes more. I don't no how I can do it or why I can, I'm just wondering if there's more stuff we might be able to do that none of us have found out about yet
