I have had a lump on my left caruncle for about two months now. I've gone to two eye doctors, the first one just said it doesn't have any signs of infection and recommended warm compresses and those didn't help at all, the second prescribed me steriod eye drops which also haven't really been helping.
The mass changes from looking very red and shiny to pink and like it's dried up. It's on the very inner corner of my eye and isn't SUPER noticeable until I pull the skin towards my other eye. It doesn't really hurt, sometimes it will be slightly irritating, like a hair in the corner of my eye, but most of the time it doesn't bother me. I don't have any abnormal discharge and it doesn't affect my vision at all.
I'm concerned this could be a cold sore, as I get them on my lips, but everything I've read about ocular cold sores suggests that it usually only affects the cornea, and also a cold sore would've healed and gone away by now.
