Dry Eye After PRK

I had a PRK done around 14 months ago. After the surgery I have been using Refresh Plus to moist my eyes. Before the surgery my doctor told me that I would need to use the Refresh Plus only for a few months. It has been 14 months already and now he tells me to continue using them 3-4 times a day. I am getting a little scared that perhaps due to surgery I have developed a permanent dry eye condition. What should I do? Thanks.

Another treatment is punctal plugs which retain your own tears.  Also consider omega 3s.
