Misdiagnosised??

I had "Pink Eye" about a month ago for the first time in my life. Today I woke up with sever pain in my right eye, hurt to the touch and to open and close lids. I didnt think it was pink eye because I didnt have the usual tell tail signs of itching, "goopy" discharge, or sever redness. I could see redness in the outside corner and if I pulled the lid back the membrane was swollen and lumpy. It was really painful to look left to right or up and down so I decided to go in for help because I was scared of something worse. The Dr diagnosed it again as pink eye. After coming home and using the Ciprofloxacin drops nothing has changed and in fact the membrane seems to be protruding from under my lid. When I look in the mirror I can see it above the lower and outside corner. When should I seek a second opinion on the matter because I have also had sever stomach/digestive problems and may be diagnosed with Crohns or colitis which makes me think it may be Uveitis?
