Please consult with Dr. Richard Hertle. He is considered to be the best for nystagmus. He is based out of Ohio, US - Akron Children's Hospital.
God bless and Good Luck.
Hi,
I am 46 years old with Cong. Nystagmus and I wish to find a good doctor/surgeon in Toronto area who is specialized in CN.
Please provide me with the full name and address.
Regards.
My brother-in-law has had styes (multiple) in both eyes. This has been going on for at least a year. No antibiotics have helped, even with eye drops ( by prescription ). They are very painful. He is afraid he will loose his sight. Can anyone help or advise me for him?

People with nystagmus (wiggling or jerky eye movements) generally have reduced vision. Most nystagmus patients have a "null point" this is an eye position where the eyes move the least and the vision is the best. Eye muscle surgery works by moving the null point to as close to straight ahead as possible.
Consult a good Eye MD strabismus-pediatric eye surgeon to discuss whether it will be helpful to you. In the US find one at www.aao.org
