Pink Eye

I went to my family doctor with an eye infection. She said I had the bacterial type of  pink eye and gave me a prescription for Tobramycin. I used it for seven days and had about 50% improvement, but the infectipon was still present. I went back yesterday and she put me on three days of prednisone --6 pill therapy and a new prescrition for Tobramycin for six more days. If this doesn't work--what are my options? I have read that Tobramycin can cause kidney damage. Are their other drugs to use? Anything i can do at home to improve my eye problem? I'm getting frustrated.
Thanks

Thanks. I will look into an appointment with an Eye MD.

You should see an EyeMD.  Topical Tobramycin will not cause renal damage.
