Pink eye and fever
Hi, Last week i was diagnosed with Pink eye ( not sure of bacterial or viral ) with no other complications. I was exposed to severe dusty environment the previous day. The day i was diagnosed with pink eye my wife had severe flu like symptoms with fever ( 101 - 102 ), fatigue, cold and diarrhea...My pink eye infection has got anything to do with my wife's health condition? please advice.
Thanks Dr. The fever has been unrelenting on my wife. I am worried if i had passed my viral infection to my wife. Or is it a 2 different complications not connected to each other?
No even if you had got a virus from your wife it would take 3-5 days for the eye infection to become manifest.
