Hello doctor.

I really hope i am not bothering you, but i am really getting better because of your comments. I really appreciate how you help people and also me. First it was very difficult to me to accept my condition but now i am very positive about that.

I educate myself on this and i want to understand my eyes little better. I have a really good doctor but he always said me it's all fine. Then i went to another doctor who is very proved here and he told me that i have a choroidal atrophy, but he didn't looked at my OCT or dilatate my pupils. I just said that i don't see an little area in my vision. My doc didn't sees it.

I have here my OCT scans... I KNOW YOU CANT DIAGNOSE ME so i will only ask few questions if u can answer me.

I i have had PVD because my vision is still flickering. Both my eyes seems very flat, and green on the OCT thickness map. The thickness is 250 in both eyes in the whole area. But in the point where i can't see, where i supposed to have this atrophy i have a area with 400 micrometers thick:

1. Can it be macular plucker if not how it looks like on thickness map
2. Can it be CNV if not how it looks on thickness map
3. Can it be myopic chorioretinal atrophy if not how it looks like on the thickness map

Thank you very very very much. I promise i won't be so annoying anymore :)

God bless you!

Do you realize the United States has more lawyers than the rest of the world put together? Do you know there is more litigation in the United States than any place in the world. Do you not hear the trial lawyers trolling for lawsuits on television day and night. Do you have any idea what malpractice insurances costs in the USA. Do you have any idea how much that adds to the cost and availablity of medical care in the USA?

For all the above reasons I cannot comment on your tests.

I am very sorry. I understand you. But i can't find any good pictures of thickness map that shows those things. Can you at least suggest some book or some site, where are explained the basics of CNV, macular pucker and dr atrophy how they looks like on OC?

I doubt it will do much good. I would use Google images and look at OCT eye pictures of the pathology you want to understand.

These are incredibly technical, specialized things for a lay person to attack without a significant background in the anatomy and physiology of the eye.  Do you have such a background?  If not, be very careful with regard to your research, because the old saying, "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, " really applies in this case.  The meaning here is that without full understanding, you could draw very wrong conclusions.

Hello doctor!
I am 15 and have been experiencing one of the strangest eye phenomenons. I can see wormy flashes of light in my vision, that is called blue field entoptic phenomenon. I also have a huge gigantic floater in a shape of a C that can change to an U, 9, S or an I.  I actually checked these symptoms up on the net(i thought i have a vitreus detachment)-especialy because of my floater and got an apointment with an ophtalmologist immediately. He checked my retina and other parts of the eye and found no abnormalities.

Now, I heard that BFEP is caused by white blood cells moving in the cappilaries in the retina. When i had a physical normal exam, i had a blood test done and my Leukocytes were high, so I was reffered to a Haematologist who found nothing and said it is not leukemia or anything. Could Leukocitosis cause this.

No it is normal, BFEP is not caused by blood problems.  I can see BFEP in both eyes when ever I want.  If you are quite myopic the big "C" you see that moves is likely a "Weiss Ring" a large type of floater.  Google images that to see what they look like. Depending on how it twists in your eye it will have different shapes. I have a Weiss Ring in my right eye.

Work with your MD for the leukocytosis.

Hi !
Im the 15yo. I had an other eye exam by an ophtalmologist-regular check up.
I experience this huge gigantic C floater that can change to a S, I, 9.
I told him about this, and he checked my retina and said I dont have a PVD.
He said that a Weiss ring floater is ussualy a result of a PVD. But the strangest thing is that I am experiencing this floater since I was 10. I am myopic, but have a very mild Rx- 0,75. How could this hapen. I dont have any tears or detachments...I have visited 2 ophtalmologists about this

I am a swimming champion...he said that would be a cause of this floater...and said my vitreus is not displaced. he checked my retina with a slit lamp and an ophtalmoscope
