Hi --
This question is for Dr. Hagan, if you're available.
I have a conjunctival nevus on my eye that I've had for what I believe to be at least 20 years. My eye doctor recently looked at it and was not concerned about it. However, I'm trying to get pregnant again and might need to go to a fertility clinic soon. While I don't know what going down that path will entail, I understand that drugs such as Clomid, "injectables," progesterone, and others are ones that seem to be given to women with various and varying degrees of fertility issues. I also have read online that conjunctival nevi can get bigger during puberty and pregnancy, so they seem hormonally sensitive (?).
Since we have one child already and I care about my health, I do not want to do anything imprudent if it could harm what has been an otherwise stable nevus. Do you know anything about the effects of fertility drugs or hormones on a conjunctival nevus? Many thanks!
