Red eye and viagra?

ptw
Hi

I took a viagra 36 hours ago for the first time ever, it had been prescribed by my doctor, blood pressure is 132/82 (a little high but apparently acceptable).

I had no headaches or eyesight problems the night i took it, however 36 hours i noticed i had developed a red patch around my eye, it looks like a small blood vessel has burst and im told this will clear up in a week or two.

Its painless (a small amount of discomfort but not pain) and my vision seems fine.

Are there any known links between this condition (burst blood vessels) and viagra? i have read about possible links to vision loss, due to reduced pressure, but it seems the opposite for me?

Thanks

No.  The broken blood vessel ( subconjunctival hemorrhage) is usually a benign condition.  It can be cause by anything that raises venous pressure;  a cough, straining at stool, weight lifting, etc.
