Red eye & blurry vision

I had Lasik sugery about 4 years ago and had dry eye for a couple of years, but then that improved with the help of using Restasis. About a week ago I woke up with redness and mat in my left eye.  My first thought was I had the pink eye.  I went to my doctor and he gave me Tobramycin Ophthalmic Solution. That didn't help, so then he gave me Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution. I thought it was helping, no more crude in the eye but I stil have pinkness in the eye and my vision is blurry in the morning. It clears up after a hour or so but I don't understand why my eye is still pink each morning and my vision is blurry.  It also seems to be spreading to the other eye.  Can you help me?

Thanks, I found it was due to severe dry eye that  was so bad that it caused the redness and crud. I started again on the Restasis and they are back to normal!

It could be a resistant infection but there are other things it could be or it could be a sulfa allergy. See your Eye MD perhaps the one that did the lasik.

Or find one at www.aao.org
