Vision not returning

Why would the vision / light sensitivity symtoms not return to normal after no visible inflamed cells in a 15 year old boy with Uveitis.

History:  Came down with disease at 12.  Ended up being controlled by Remicade.  Vision returned and infusion were spaced from 4 wks to 8 wks.  Stopped infusions January 2008.  March 2008 the inflamation returned.  Currently 7 months since we restarted the Remicade.  Son was examined by various specialist and they all confirm there is no active inflamation, nor has there been any for the last 5 months.  Doc is planning on spacing out infusions from 4 wks to 5 wks.  Yet no one can tell us why his vision has not returned (as it did last time) or why he still has the light sensitivity.   Any ideas?  Could puberty play a role on his auto imuune system?

Thanking you in advance,

Fred

In an infant or very young child it could but not in a child age 15.

OCT test was normal.  Also seen by Optic Nerve specialist and had normal results of neurological exam.

Could wearing Noir glasses (blocks 92% of light) for 7 months have any effect on vision?  Even when sleeping, wears a mask to block out light.

Puberty  not a factor. Rest is a duplicate and answered elsewhere.
