Reticular drusen in the peripheray

I am a 33 year old male with no family history of macular degenartion and I am a ex smoker with hazel eyes.Recently I was diagnosed with reticular drusen in the peripheray (few in number) along with peripheral pigment mottling in the periphery. My question is I can I expect to lose vision in the future? Is this drusen considered the pre cursors to macular degenartion? Are these drusen considered benign or will they lead to blindness down the line? Thank You in advance for answering my question.

You need to discuss this with the ophthalmologist or optometrist that make that diagnosis. As a generalization those are common, benign changes in the peripheral retina that do not lead to eye disease or problems. There are a confusing amount of "drusen" in the back of the eye. The worrisome type are large, soft, confluent drusen in the macula.
