Please help.. Eye problem?

Hi everyone, I had a simple problem which is diagnosed as normal eye floaters. I went to three different ophthalmologists, and optometrist. My first checkup was at my regular optometrist, which he did full dilated exam, peripheral vision test, and Color blind test. He said my eyes are healthy and eye pressure is normal and also have same eye prescription as before. I then visited O.D, which she also did dilated exam, GDX, Fundus photo, Corneal pachymetry test. She told me my optic nerves are bigger in both eyes, but it could be how I'm born. She checked my eye pressure and said it's normal. She told me I might have glaucoma and wanted to to more tests such as field tests on Jan 10, 2012. The last is ophthalmologist who I went every week for testing. He did full dilated exam and took picture behind my eye and also checked my eye pressure. He told me in my country majority of people born with large optic nerves and said my optic nerves are healthy. The retina is thin but it's not to serious. Then he told me to come in 2 weeks for Field testing and OCT. I did the tests and he said my field test results came perfect 100% in both eyes. He also explained everything came normal from all my results, but just one little thing in the result of OCT. The is the what he showed me http://gayleshimokajimd.com/gso/Glaucoma_files/10__$%21%40%21__pastedGraphic.jpg this is not my results I just took this from google. The top left graphs on the page was the issue the line seem to go little to the red area but 85% is in green area. He told me is not serious and it's still pronounced as normal but he said to come back in 3 months to do retesting in OCT. When ever I went for checkup my eye pressure came up as normal and I don't have any family history of glaucoma. I haven't subscribed with any medications from any doctors yet and is glaucoma make you blind even you doing treatments? I am so scared I am only 21 years old and I getting bad headaches back left of head since all this started. Please reply

I think you should relax. It's very unlikely that you have glaucoma based on what you've told me. It's likely you have a larger than normal cup to disk ratio. That does not mean you have glaucoma. Often a larger than normal C/D ratio 1. runs in families 2. is larger in myopic or near sighted people 3. it larger in black individuals.

The OCT printout showing a result that dipped a little into the red does not mean you have glaucoma either.  It could be due to artifact like low signal strength or poor centration.

I truly believe you are worrying yourself unnecessarily. It might be worth it just to make an appointment with the ophthalmologist to discuss your fears. You may need to be checked twice a year for a few years just to be sure this is "normal" for you after which you could likely be cshecked yearly with a VF and OCT.
