Hi, How long has this been happening for? Even a small eyelash or some tiny particle if it goes in the eye can cause severe irritation. Is it happening to both the eyes? Have you tried washing your eyes with water? When did you see the doctor? I mean was the condition this severe when you visited him? When you are suffering so much, how can a doctor simply say there's nothing wrong with you! Please see another doctor. I think you need to.
this is a classic description of recurrent corneal erosion. use the search feature and archives to read about. I think there is an article on that on my blog.
Use an ointment every night at bedtime like Refresh PM or Systane PM, don't sleep under a fan or with air blowing over your face. Open eyes carefully in AM not rubbing then put in artifical tear like regular Systain, Blink.
Do an internet search on recurrent corneal erosions. See an Eye MD. Don't let them put any drops in your eye. Tell the Eye MD you think you have recurrent corneal erosions perhaps due to exposure keratitis.
